Which amp for Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80ohm headphones?

I just got these headphones and they don't appear to be loud enough with my Ipod. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money either. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

CMOY? You can get one for a fairly good price off eBay by BioScienceGeek.

Do you have one of those volume limiting iPods or have a volume limit set up? Max volume on my iPod Touch with the 770/80 was pretty loud for me :X. Any louder would be quite unhealthy :\

I have both Ipod touch and the 30gb video and they're both not loud enough for me, volume maxed out, maybe i'm half deaf and don't know it yet haha. But no, the regular ipod phones seem to be much louder. I'll check out CMOY thanks.

Just a little Fiio E5 is enough to juice the Pro 80s I have. VERY loud. $20.

Another vote for the E5. It's more than enough for an 80 ohm Beyer. The Bass Boost will also fit right into the sound sig of your Beyers. It's cheap too. Just make sure to get an LOD for optimal sound.

PA2v2.  Rock solid.

I have a DT770.  I use a JDS Cmoy.  It's great.  The bass boost feature is awesome.  Here's a link: http://www.jdslabs.com/products.php

I also have a Total Bithead.  I prefer the JDS.

To anyone who plays console games and has the DT770 Pro 80s.

GET THE MIXAMP, NOW.

The DT770 Pro 80s have become my fave headphone after playing Lost Planet 2. The Mixamp's DH and the DT770 80 = PURE GAMING BLISS. It's BETTER than a home theater, IMHO. The positional cues are as of right now, the VERY best I have heard from headphones, period. I played the game for 15 minutes, and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. What a way to showcase the strengths of the DT770 Pro AND the Mixamp.

I have been gaming with headphones for a LONG time, and this is the first time I literally felt like I was in a movie theater, with audio coming absolutely everywhere. Bassy explosions, crazy monsters flying about. I'm awestruck.

On second thought, the DT770 are plenty loud on my iPod and iPhone.  Do you really need add'l volume?  Just thinking about your ears!

YES i agree. the bass boost on this amp doesnt seem to boost the amount of bass, just allow the phones enough juice to pump out the bass they are going to attempt to pump out regardless of whether the bass boost is on or not. haha.

this is a fantastic amp, only problems i have with it is that 1) the volume knob is super easy to bump, and sometimes i end up cursing and throwin my phones off. good thing these ones are built well. 2) the bass boost is on the inside. but whatever.
