just goes from experience, im sure they will be awesome in the low range but a bit muddy, and the highs will likely bleed into everything.  Meh, id bet my reputation here at head fi i am right about them heh ;)

I am still interesting comparing MX 980 with PK-1. It is hard to find one in Germany though. Will you have a chance doing this comparison?? Let me know if you will. It will be damn interesting.

Cheers!

Hi Kenta, just bought this ones from amazon.de after reading your review! (and swbf2cheater2 comparison thread)

The only iem i can use is the X10, all the others i've tried are way more unconfortable, so i'll stick

with earbuds.

I love the sound of my PK1 with Pico Slim, let's see how they compare.

Great review, thanks for that! Too bad I can't afford them right now... I have to wait and suffer!

Thanks Kenta and swbf2cheater2: Your review and comparison helped me to risk $250 Aud for MX980     and it is worth it!

Straight out of the box, SQ is pleasant and the high is extended and detailed, it is like RE0 being in earbud form. Quick compared to PK1(already burnin > 300hrs and all phones with T3D), IMO I prefer the MX980.

The PK1 still has better feel as full can phones, with more bass impact, hopefully MX980 will be as good after burn in, using earpads and correct fitting.

MX980 has better Mid and the high range is really extended and sweet, love it when listened to  Corazon Espinado - Santana and Holy Diver - Dio.

They are of different ound signature, still not sure which has better sound stage.

Thanks again Kenta and swbf2cheater2 for your reviews, almost spent the money on RE252/CK10.

Happy now (for the time being).... Is there a way to hurry the burnin time?
