I don't buy CDs very often, but I bought one a couple weeks ago after hearing Irvin Mayfield and the NOJO live at Jazz Fest.

As sad as it be, most of the local CD shops have closed due to the combined effect of piracy and iTune. I still try to grab a good CD whenever I can, a digital copy just not real enough for me :D

I like to own my music...

 

The ONLY way I will have a ripped album and NOT actually own it, is if I get them from the library. A few times a year I go to my local library and check out 50 CD's or so and rip them. I'm usually searching for something new to listen to.
