As far as i know, most china custom IEM brands,if not all, started the bussiness by 'copying' the sound of UE10, UE11 and EX3,some of them even named their models in the same way to make sure their customers know what they are buying. Later they probably made some money out of it and became more experienced in making custom IEMs. Now all of the famous brands i listed above have their own flagship designs.
LS8 by Rooth is the first 8 drivers with 2 low,2 mid ,2 high and 2 ultra highs
CX 8 by the original LS8 designer contains 2 ultra low, 2 low, 2 mid,and 2 highs

Update 6.2.10 - Impressions for the JH13 remolds and the Rooth LS8 - 8 driver custom IEMs were sent off to Tomo at Hi Fi International, payment was made via paypal and now the wait.
3 - 5 weeks turnaround depending upon how busy they are in China.
Meanwhile I am painfully using my Shure 310s until the arrival ... actually it may be a good thing as I will truly appreciate (I hope) the upgrade in quality and sound with the customs when they arrive.
More updates as they become available.

Update 6.16.10 - I heard from Hi Fi International today. The customs are on their way from Rooth in China. Much quicker turnaround than anticipated. Most likely by next week will have photos and initial impression.

Quote:UPDATE as of 6.30.10 - Heard from my contact at High Fi Intl here in Japan. My customs did not make the last shipment of orders so not sure when they will arrive. Apparently Rooth is very busy.
Stay tuned.
In the meantime here's a taste of the kind of product coming from Rooth in China.

just a suggestion but can you keep your updates to one thread. I'm not being rude or anything but this thread and the other one is more or less the same thing. If you could keep it to one that would be better as there would be one less thread with the same info on it to click.
I hope you do get them soon and like them however.
