I had a similar situation... it was easier to move than to get them to stop playing THE SAME "50 Cent" album 24X7-7 days a week....
only someone completely INSANE would listen to a permanent loop of that!! so I moved before I became a statistic

Two Words...
MISSLE. LAUNCHER.
of course this could be just the excuse you need to get some wicked isolating IEM's
I've tried sleeping with IEM's but I wake up with them wrapped around my neck.
In my previous post I spoke too soon; Saturday night at 11:30 the sub started up again then Sunday morning at 9am playing hip-hop.. seemed to be out of spite this time.
I called the office again when they opened at noon on Sunday and spoke with the manager, he said he would take care of it.
Sunday night and Monday were peaceful. The manager came by last night and asked me for an update on how the noise had been since I had spoken with him.
This is almost too similar to whats happening in my apartment Zodduska, only my problem is with neighbors upstairs. I've been completely reasonable and never complained with anything before 10pm. But time and again they insist on playing some shooting game or listen to music at 11pm. Everytime this goes to the apartment management, the noise stops for a few days, then its at a low level and after a few weeks, its back to square 1. We've been through this like 4-5 times. But the last time I spoke directly with the manager and told her the entire history, she then apparently went straight to their apartment and gave them their "final" warning (atleast thats what she told us).
This was a few weeks back and we havent heard anything since. The manager has also followed up once to get status update and also asked us to contact her anytime it happens again.
The dynamic opposite of this was my previous downstairs neighbor who used to complain within 5 minutes of my powering on any system in my house no matter what time or day. We eventually spoke to her face to face though and came to an agreement that we can listen to any levels after 12 in the afternoon during weekends, and low levels before 8pm on weekdays. That seemed to work but was very annoying having to work with a schedule to relax and listen to music. My current downstairs neighbors though seem very reasonable and I've since moved to bookshelf speakers as well to avoid any further issues.
Good to hear the final notice seems to have worked jilgiljongiljing, hopefully my problem won't be so drawn out I would feel bad for the office staff to have to keep bothering them about it.. we'll see I guess. *fingers crossed*

example... neighbor who constantly partied and made excessive noise all night and slept through the afternoon my personal knowledge of where in that house he slept and the fact that he kept his windows open led me to call up some friends for an impromptu death metal jam session in my back yard.
This is the most logical solution.
If not him now, there are chances of there being another noisy neighbor some other time. I’d suggest you go the easy way and soundproof your walls! Use QuietRock for soundproofing. Really works!
I only ever use speakers for background music when I'm writing (college), and even then, it's not every time and it's slow and quiet music at low volume.
I had a problem with my brother (we don't get on) and a loud TV (soaps and reality TV - AKA mind pollution) - tried to get him to stop but he wouldn't listen, so I began to play death metal pretty loudly with the speakers near his wall. He's the hyprocitically religious type and death metal (they think) burns their ears and souls - it worked, no problems now. He would also do this at night (degnerate slob sleeps during the day) so I'd turn the music on before I went to work in the morning (everyone else in the house is awake at the time, sono problems there).
My point is that you should ask nicely first - explain how it affects you. But if there's no change ('my apartment, my speakers, I do what I want'), I would retaliate it a major way before or after informing the authorities. And different types of people hate different music or even sounds (animal noises can drive someone insane).
Id buy a Crown Macrotech amp, about 600w and some Peavy or JBL DJ speakers and subs and blast the most obnoxious music i could find.
The people that moved into the house across the street may be my first test, as they feel late night parties are not a problem, as well as lawn mowing at 7:00am, and beeping the horn to alert them their ride to work is here at 6:00am.
There is about 7 or 8 living in that house, and if you dont speak spanish, they wont say hello.
When they first moved in, we tried to be nice and greet them, and they walked away like we came from a leper colony.
I looked outside a little bit ago....and nobody is home, and their little pitbull puppy is loose in the yard. Its really tiny and adorable right now, but im sure when it gets older, itll be left loose in the yard also. Irresponsible dorks.
