Hello! For sale here is a recabled pair of the Audio-Technica ATH-W5000.
As you may know, the Audio-Technica ATH-W5000 is currently the crown jewel of the Audio-Technica "W(ood)" line-up. Therefore, these headphones are as good as they get, combining the mellow sweetness of the striped ebony wooden cups with the lush, warm sound signature Audio-Technica headphones are renowned for.
This particular Audio-Technica ATH-W5000 has been expertly recabled with braided silver-plated-copper wire complete with a cotton sleeve and terminated in a pair of XLR plugs. The previous owner also crafted an XLR to 1/4" adapter, for convenience of use with non-balanced amplifiers and sources.
Condition-wise, these headphones are in very good condition. Previously owned by Fitz, the "master of Audio-Technica modding," these Audio-Technica ATH-W5000 have been taken care of. While there is the occasional blemish on the exotic wooden cups, they are unnoticeable in normal light.
The original padded, protective hard-shell case is also included.
