I thought this was already covered in another thread :) DIR9001 is technically superior and the chances of 'needing' 192kHz decoding are slim to none. You can find legal high res 24/96 downloads well enough, 24/192 not nearly as much. That's not to mention that most high res recordings (SACD and DVD-A) are DRMd anyway and don't run through a DAC. I'd go with the DIR9001 if it had to be one of the two.
But here's the thing if you are that much on the fence: the extra module costs $22 and if you order it with the FUN it will add $0 to shipping. Someone who might consider the module separately after a purchase is looking at +$15 for shipping. I would wager that you could buy both, keep the one you like, and sell the other one for no loss (sell it for $22+domestic shipping.)
