"Musume" means "daughter" in Japanese.

The blog is anime-centric, so I thought it'd be a great way to connect the two - it'd be an awfully big disconnect otherwise, I think. Also, a lot of people find headphones on girls (2D or otherwise) to be a charm point, and it's a lot more interesting compared to pictures of headphones and graphs and stuff!

Musume (娘) does technically mean daughter, but many people also use it to refer to girls - usually young ones; it's often used in conjunction with a distinct trait of the girl, like glasses-girl (メガネっ娘 / meganekko) or clumsy girl (ドジっ娘 / dojikko).
