For sale is a truly like new 840c in silver. This player has received outrageous accolades for the quality of its DAC alone as well as for the quality of its transport. It will compete with any DAC under $5k, say the reviews. I agree.
I wanted to add, since I've had some questions on this, that the mark you see on the left side of the plate is residue from a decal from the factory (energys-atr or something). I have removed that mark and the facia is shiny clean.
I have sidegraded to a strictly wireless system via Peachtree's Nova DAC and longer use CD's.
These units have had problems with inferior capacitors made in Asia, but installed in Britain. Cambridge Audio just this week has replaced the capacitors in this unit with far superior upgraded capacitors. I will ship the work order from Cambridge with the unit.
