I'm starting up creating music. I'm setting up a small bedroom studio. I've decided on the KRK RP6 G2's as my monitors.
Now, I've been looking for almost a week, for a high quality connection to my PC. Everything points to the use of an external audio interface. I'm fine with that but.
Every single god damn audio interface I come across (ranges from Alesis to EMU to M-audio, presonus, you name it) does NOT HAVE WINDOWS 7 SUPPORT, and the one's that do, and are in my price range, are universally peices of crap.
I'm looking for a simple solution costing less than £150 to:
- bypass my PC's onboard
- left and right balanced analog signal output
- I truly don't care about microphone inputs, any other outputs, functions, just the above would be great.
Hopefully you trusty guys at head-fi have a magic device that does exactly as stated above. maybe some kind of cheap DAC.
I've considered just using a high quality 3.5mm -> L&R RCA, but that still means im going through onboard, which sucks anyhow, and the monitors will make it even more obvious.
Perhaps the low end beresford is a good idea?
EDIT: I have a strange feeling this end of the forum doesn't get much attention.
