Amp for Sennheiser HD-800, Ultrasone Ed. 9 and Denon D7000

Looking to buy an amp, primarily for use with Sennheiser HD-800. I have only a few ss amps at hand and there is no apparent synnergy with the HD800. In addition, I also feel that the pairing of my SS ampd with the Denon D7000 results in a slightly too prominent bass (probably due to the hp in part and also dependent on the recording) but what's worse, a treble that is a little too hot. The edition 9 seems more at home when paired with my ss amps, it's not as open sounding as the other hp but has impact and punch without sounding aggressive.

 

SS amps are one Meier amp (the first Head-Fi meier amp), Harmony design EAR90 and Firestone audio Violet. I also have a Creek OBH-21SE at hand but the latter is far too bright for my liking.

 

I'm leaning towards a tube amp, currently considering Yamamoto HA-02 and Woo Audio 6. Never heard anyone of these though, for those with experience, would either of these make a nice pairing with my headphones. Reviews has indicated that the Yamamoto is generally considered to be on the darker side of neutral which might fit the HD-800 fine. What's the WA6 like?

The Yamamoto is useless with the HD-800s.  The reason you've having trouble with the brightness would most likely be the result of less than great performance of the amps.  Treble doesn't sound unpleasant with a high quality amp IMO, without needing the treble rolled-off to achieve this.  What's your budget?

Budget is around a 1000 Euro or so.

 

I'm actually a bit concerned about my source, a Classé CDP-10. It has tons of impact and punch but is sometimes sounding a bit bright.

 

When I tried the HD-800 with my 18 year old Harman Kardon CD-player (from the headphone out) the HD-800 sounded the best, unfortunately the headphone out lacks power enough to drive the HD-800 to higher volume levels.

I would sell some of the stuff to raise the budget to 1,700-1,800 euros and go for a Zana Deux. I have listen to both the HD800 and the D7000 out of the Zana and they sound great. I owuld also look into changing the source based on what you said it could be par of the issue.
