Westone 3 Questions

I just opened my westone 3's and the packaging seems to be a little weird.  First off, the packaging within the box is fully plastic.  I was just wondering if there is something new about the packaging.  Also, the case is a little weird too.  It is not the usual rounded case.  It resembles a rectangle and is zippered all around the sides, somewhat like the shure case.  Also, the L plug is not squared and is more of a long shape.  This is a bit weird and was not what i was expecting.  Anyone else encounter this?

That is all normal...they changed the case and made the plug smaller as well as made the cable stronger/less likely to unravel.

I like all the changes personally. Like the case much better.
