I received a shipping e-mail with a tracking number from Jaycar about 5 days after ordering

I am having a strange problem with my jaycar order. Got an order confirmation then a few days later I got a tracking number from dhl along with a description of the item. Problem is it was sent to omaha NE while I live in ND. Stranger still the dhl email deleteditself some how. Im not sure if dhl just mixed my and some one elses emails mixed up or what.

Im not too concerned since the only way they would get my email was from jaycar so I would think they shipped something to me. The order confirmation had the right address and all.

My local Jaycar store has those FA-003 clones, except they are $80. Price discrimination pisses me off. It's $50 on the American Jaycar site and $80 on the Australian site. Still a good deal, but no need for me to have another neutral entry level can.

Nothing unusual. I live in Illinios west of Chicago. My order was routed LA to Cincinnati to Chicago. DHL doesn't have that many hubs. I thought their service was outstanding.

I second that, also went to my local Jaycar to find out they are more expensive ($80) this sucks big time, Australian retailers rip off.

Are those prices the same dollar ?

The 50 is USD but I would have thought the 80 were AUD.

Also I would expect there to be Australian sales tax and what not included in the Australian price which is not in the US price.

AUD and USD are pretty much equal, I think 50USD works out to about 51AUD. Looks like it's all just taxes.

Just for the hell of it, I checked this thread for any more updates on the Brainwav clone, and I see that a Jaycar sale has been going on for about a couple of weeks now. I've been looking to get a neutral can such as the FA-003 for some time. I just ordered from Jaycar as that price is worth the shot of these can. From reading other quick reviews, it seems I made a correct choice. smily_headphones1.gif

I'm still new to the headphone world but I have heard some very nice and expensive headphones. These clones or whatever you want to call them are a great value. Redundent, yes it's been said for 166 pages. Still true, and still a great bargin.

I think we should stop calling them FA-003, HM5, or clones. They should just be called for what they are, Yoga headphones smily_headphones1.gif

I ordered a pair as well it seems it works out even cheaper to ship to the UK at roughly $50 USD shipped :) I am not even into neutral sound signature but meh for this price its a no brainer really

So you get free shipping to UK while I have to pay $20 to ship to Denmark :-(

I listen to mine in this combo: Linux ALSA > USB > Yulong D100 > CanAmp clone > FA-003 [cable mod and dampening mod]

Holy cow are these revealing. I can't listen to mp3s. Bad recordings show up immediately. With good recordings and vinyl the sound is very pleasing. I have my fa-003 for 1.5 year. A good buy. Even though I payed for them about $242. Bought from gd-audiobase. Both types of cushions were included. That was the wood edition, FA-002w-LBR. But FA-003 cups with dampening mod sound better to me...

Canamp. Finished. With modded FA-003
