HALP: Problem with Sansa Fuze

post #1 of 4

Hi guys,

My gf is having some problems with her 4GB Sansa Fuze;

The other day she dropped it to the ground, it was in a protective case, but now it won't let her copy, delete or format (using windows/"format player" in the player settings) the player when connecting it to a computer..

Weird thing is that the playback works just fine, it's filled (100mb free space) and I've listened through most of it, no problem what so ever.

I'm not sure if she used the MTP or MSC mode, I've set it to MSC now so that it show's up as a removable disk in windows..

Tried the "hold mode on + hold centerbutton -> connect to computer" mode as well, but even so I can't copy/delete/format anything..

Is there a way to fix this, or should I just get her a microSD card..?

Hope someone can help us out! :)

I've been googleing but no one seems to have had the same problem.. Guess that goes for the guys @ head-fi as well. ^^ I guess I'll just get her a microSD card.

I had same problem once. I did not do anything to it. One day, it suddenly worked. Maybe... because the battery was drain to zero.
