Amp for Denon d7000 and AKG K701 Hifiman EF5? Canamp? - Page 2

I find it a little odd that you went and spent a lot of money on a tube amp after being somewhat unimpressed by another tube amp haha... but best of luck. I do hope you enjoy it, and please post back here with your impressions!

How much did that run you if you don`t mine me asking.

actually i liked the shanling alot. wat was bothering me tho was that the d10 was so much smaller and it did pretty well against it.

i just loved the way the sophia princess looked with the wa6 tho. the decision was mostly superficial since ive never tried a full tube amp lol  just want to try something new. anyways it ran me $814.

Some people have reported premature fail.lure on that tube. They are pricy tubes. How long before you get it and would be interested in your impressions.

I'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts on how the D7000 work with the WA6. Considering that option myself ....

The Burson HA-160 is getting a lot of good reviews from K701 / 2 users.  I am considering it at the moment...

I have a pair of Denon AHD7000 and am waitting on another member to tell me how they match.  If all is good then I think its a good choice at the right dollar amount.

oh... now im worried about tube failure...

Woo Audio said lead time should be 3 weeks so it will be probably a month until I get it and get a good try at it. I'll give my impressions for what it's worth

Well, the Denon D-2000 sound out of this world driven by the Little Dot Mk III tube amp! I mean it is GREAT!

The LD Mk III is a very flexible amp... you can switch it for the different impedances and go from low to high with no problem. So, as for the 2000, it should be just as good with the 7000. But, I've never heard it personally with the 7000.
