Yeah... the ads on the side really do take up quite a lot of the page... it's almost like 1/3 of my page in width.

Yeah the ads are bad enough, but I agree with Suntory, the whole RHS is irritating!

as I remember there were plenty of ads on the old platform too, just placed differently. you ain't seen nothing yet. what do you think is all that white space left for? Ads! 

anyway, struggling myself getting familiar with the new layout, but I much prefer it over the old one. way cool!

I would copy and paste a recent PM reply to the question at issue, that being in support of Judes business decision with the new layout which in general I do like, but, I cannot fathom how to do that, yet. I'm hoping bugs are yet to be worked out ;)

Configured Firefox : No Ads seen here, with View zoomed all looks good with posts page wide ( I need glasses to read Prescription bottle type ) and faster loading ;)

I see no ads either, but then again I have paid to not see them.

As a 'contributor" I was still seeing them, Kai ... But not anymore ;)

I think I'd prefer the ads on the left, as they previously were. Something seemed more natural about that layout.

Because I like to support the sites I go to and because I don't really find ads that annoying I haven't got any sort of adblocker installed.

Is it the ads that are the problem or the whole side column thing? Because I'm pretty sure there was something similar on the old layout too...

Both I think. I don't think people were very happy about the ads and sidebar on the old layout either.

EDIT: Why do I always have to click the edit button, wait for the site to load, then click it again for it to bring up my post for editing?
