Like most people here, my friends know next to nothing about audio gear or sq at all.  Most still acquire music at 128kbps and lower whilst using the standard ibuds...  I've been told "If the iPOD isn't good and the earphones either than why is it that so many people have them?"  Nothing makes me facepalm than a statement like that especially when they don't even bother listening to your reasoning afterwards :\

The funny thing is that I face palmed before reading that you face palm also.

I'm pretty sure many people on here have heard the same exact thing and that was their initial reaction.  Consumer ignorance is quite rampid these days and seems to simply be based on what is popular at that point in time
