Cof-fi: Who has had Kopi Luwak? Indonesian Head-Fier's where are you??

OKAY!  

 

Attention all you Indonesian Cats:  Have you had WHOLE BEAN Kopi Luwak?  Is it really different?  What is the best source/brand so I can have a friend's family bring me some?

 

Kopi Luwak:  Coffee beans eaten by the civet (a cross between lemur and a cat), then excreted and gathered.

 

My friend brought me some already ground so I cannot authenticate it as real but it was very mellow and did not sour when cold.  However, I believe it was over-roasted (common problem with coffee, period).

 

After finding Tea-Fi, it dawned on me that my Indonesian opportunity was here on Head-Fi!! 

 

Thanks if you know what the heck I am talking about.  I bet others here have also tried to find the "ultimate coffee" experience as well...

I can't help you because I don't even drink coffee, but this thread just made me think about The Bucket List. A great film you should see if you're interested in films and haven't seen it yet... It is not about Kopi Luwak, but this coffee plays a funny role in it.

Actually, they were referring to Kopi Luwak.  I wondered if someone would bring that up!
