Wow, that's quick.

It hasn't showed up at LittleDot's own on-line store.

I was hoping the  DP_I would be a little thinner when it became available to the public. And the price is waaay up there.

Neither has the E9 on Fiio's China site.

In Little Dot's case, probably because a DAP priced around 2500 RMB --and that's an estimate by subtracting a generous $100 from that eBay listing-- would be considered by very, very few.  A Teclast T51 (s:flo2) is around 700 RMB by comparison....and I know, it's not apples to apples.  Still, limited to zero market for something like this in the land of its birth.  I count 40 combined sales for the Hifiman 801 & 602 on Taobao since July.

Interesting that they anonymize the processor in those photos on Little Dot's website.  What is it about "the top secret processor" in these high-end DAPs??  An ARM926EJ is far from cutting edge technology; there's no secret except that it could be the same processor (SigmaTel, for example) used in a $30 DAP.

Hello Anthony,

Thank you for your interest in our Little Dot DP_I, and I'm more than happy to be of service!

The Little Dot DP_I final production units are not quite ready, but should be soon.  I'm not sure what was selling on eBay though.  If you have any other questions or requests, please let me know!

Best Regards,
David

Price seems a little high. Especially since it doesn't include any memory.

must be close to release 151_37069_800a522c3839d17.jpg

Hello, Wow the release date on this player has been pushed back (june). I personally would prefer a player with one universal amp module for portability. A pity that it has no coax out, that would make it work with the jh3a system (whenever that is released). I know these probbably will be different price classes but a comparison between this and the fiio x3 would still be nice when they are both out (they seem to use the seem dac). Greetings, Anouk,

Has anyone heard anything recently about the DP_1?

Thanks,

LD are shipping the DP_I to customers in China.

From the initial impressions I've read, sound signature is neutral and perhaps a bit cold. Soundstage and instrument separation is decent.

Thank you!  I can't wait to hear more about it.  Neutral sound is good because I have an amp that can bring warmth to the sound if necessary.

Hi, I am also still quite interested in the little dot players. A pity theyonly have their forums though and not a real website with contact information, or I am just not looking right. I hope some head-fiers will get the player soon. You maybe, Pekingduck? Greetings, Anouk,

David Zhezhe did respond on their forum that it will be available "soon" internationally.  Their product page still shows June 2011, so I am hopeful.

I talked to David at Little Dot.  He said they are working on the documentation so they can sell internationally.

There is a slight chance that one may be available in the U.S. for review in the next couple of weeks.  Keep your eyes on the forum.
