why are all my deleted PM's back?

I was always deleting my PM's to stay under the 125 limit, and I've got +1 year of history in my sent and received PM's....so much for deleted

Same problem over here.
Prior to the move I had 0 PMs in my box, but after the move I had hundreds of PMs all back to 2006/2007. I have been able to delete all of them from the inbox and Sent, but no luck getting the Trash emptied.

So all our pm's are still recorded in the system?
I smell a conspiracy =P

On VBulletin, PMs are never deleted.  When marked as such, they are not shown to the user, but reside in the database.  I imagine the new forum software ignored that some were listed as deleted.  Unfortunately there's no pagination in the Inbox, so I can't see if all my deleted PMs were imported either.

Oh yeah, there's another UI issue: there is only forward and back when you have multiple pages of messages and what not. Sure would be nice to be able to skip to certain pages at the click of a button like before.

Apparently, I can empty the trash...but I don't plan on spending 1H clicking "select all" and "delete" in each and every folder..and there's no cap anymore so who cares.

I have the opposite question.
Any way to move a PM thread in Trash back to Inbox?
