Null-Audio Horrible Customer Service. BEWARE!

Thread Starter

I just wanted to share my story with Null-Audio to everyone else on Head-Fi.

I bought their Enyo headphone cable for my Triple-Fi 10's on March 6th, 2009. This year, on February 19th, 2010 the right speaker would lose sound depending on the angle of the cable.

Fine, they're within warranty, so I sent an email to Null Audio asking to have a replacement. They said to send the cable into them and they'd fix it and send it back.

Fast forward to APRIL 9th. A full month after I first sent in the cables, and have been without good quality music on the bus. I get my cables back, and notice that they are not brand new cables, but instead, the same cables only repaired, fine, no big deal. However, when I plug them in to my iPod to listen, the exact same problem persists. So I email them again, and receive this as a response.

Quote:
We did repaired the item before sent it out. I think maybe the solder is not firmly completed and dropped out again during shipping.

This time we will directly send a brand new replacement next week. Please send the faulty cable via plain mail to us.

Ugh. Fine. So I sent out my cable the following week and am waiting. They said they would send my cable "next week" thus meaning that they are not waiting to receive my faulty cable before sending a new one. However, I somehow think this is not the case, as it's been one month since they were supposed to send my cable, and I've yet to receive anything.

All this to say, if you own a Null-Audio cable, I surely hope nothing happens to it that you'd have to send it in to be replaced, or else you can look forward to a solid 3+ months without your cables.

Disappointed.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Could this be posted in the vendor feedback forum or does it not meet the rules to be posted there?

So, just as an update, it's now been FOUR WEEKS since they supposedly sent out my new cables. I don't know what shipping service they're using, but that is ridiculous by any standards.

Who else makes good TF10 cables, just in case I ever need new ones again, I will not buy from Null-Audio.

When was the last anyone heard from Mr. Kevin Wang from Null Audio?

I had initiated my remold order last mid-March.  Contact in the beginning was intermittent, but have heard absolutely nothing since early April.

Unique Melody is poorly represented by this distributor.

Last I've had talk with Kevin was around late March were I returned my Enyo cable (second time). Honest I can only give an almost similar story as the thread starter but haven't wait for 3 months but 2.

He's isn't a guy that tell you that your cable has been fixed and on its way back to you. Now today here in May I'm still without the cable and no words yet from Null Audio. Not really statified at all!

Thanks for your feedback.  I'll really think twice prior to any future transaction with Null Audio.

This is all I wanted to make people aware of with this post.

If you're looking to get remolding work done (As I did) talk directly with Sam from Unique Melody, he's very friendly and it saves you a few middle-man dollars. I love my remolds.

However, I can say that as long as you always use the "Contact Us" form on their site, Kevin Wang is reliably fast in returning emails. When I asked him why it's taken so long since he said "next week" he responded:

Quote:
I have looked through the email conversation, apparently we made a mistake as we do seldom make exception shipping custom replacement without receiving the faulty set.

New replacement is on the way to you and you shall receive it in 5~7 working days.

and then

Quote:
It is alright we will send the replacement now. It is updated version with new ViaBlue connectors and designed to be more durable.

This set of emails was sent on May 13th, meaning it's been 5 business days today. We'll see if they stay true to their 5-7 estimate. I guess I'll know on Monday, and who knows about this new connector he mentioned, but I'll for sure keep everyone updated.

Wow this is concerning. I had bought a Lune cable a while back but sold it "along with the Triple.Fi 10s". Sorry about the problems man, I hope your cable comes on time.

Just thought I should update. My cables came in YESTERDAY. Meaning, the 5-7 business days was, of course, bull. In total, I believe I was without headphone cables for FOUR MONTHS.

In short, do NOT buy from Null-Audio. Ever.

We are in June now? Still no cable replacement here from Null Audio...
Guess I'm closing three months as well, though my account got recently updated with a new tracking number I think. Something telling me the wait maybe finally end soon, but no way I would ever send that enyo back again. Horrible waiting!
Meanwhile I've went for one of those cables on eBay. They delivered me a brand new cable in about 6 days from Singapore to Denmark and that's now about a week ago already.

Wow. You should really send that guy an email and either get a refund or have him send your stuff ASAP. Again, from what I know it's only one guy doing all of the work here; he might be going through some things outside of the business that's holding him up such as work or moving :/

Yay. Finally the cable arrived today here, look:

Enyo cable

Calendar says 11 weeks and 6 days from the moment I've sent the previous cable out. If it just had arrived tomorrow I could have said straight 3 months. Rather disappointed it didn't haha but well even at this kind of waiting and no respons from that guy I really am. Trustpilot just received negative review.

Glad to see your cable came and I hope the build quality of that one keeps up.

I have been debating about ordering one of these cables I guess I will have to pass.

You could always buy second hand.
