The Lunar Eclipse - Page 2

It was pretty cool; the color looks a lot different with even a small telescope...

This put me in the mood to listen to Coltrane's "Equinox" with the Grados..

I took like 4 (ran out of film), but I only have a 75mm lens, so don't expect anything spectacular, especially since I didn't use a tripod

Did anyone see the moon getting red?
With me it was light brown-yellow-ish. Maybe the streetlights were at fault? Although I do remember the moon getting red a couple of yrs back and I was watching from the same spot...

It was brownish-orange down here in Va Beach, don't know about other places though.

No, it didn't really get red here either. Brownish-bluish maybe, but not red.

The one I saw 8 or 9 years ago was really red though...

i was at an aunt and uncle's 55th wedding anniversary party but i still got a chance to sneak outside and check it out. i was right on the shores of lake michigan and it was crisp and crystal clear and an awesome sight, although i have to agree solar eclipses have a tad more exitement to them, to me anyway.

Crystal clear and warmer than usual last night, perfect viewing conditions really. The moon went from bright white to blood red, no blackout with a halo effect like I was expecting with a total eclipse.
