Based on my naïve and limited experience I like Led Zeppelin better. I have only heard Led Zeppelin 1 while I have heard The Who Who’s next and live at Leeds. From that small sample I concur both bands are awesome in their own right and like each one immensely. I guess Zep just does it for me more.

I had to go with The Who, though I am listening to Led Zep [I] right now. Overall, I think I'll go with the Who, for some of the same reasons as Trawlerman, and Voodoochile. This was a really hard poll though.

I voted Zepp. They have some excellent tunes. I've not come across one yet by them which I've not found amazing. The Who have some good stuff, but I don't think I've heard enough by them to make a versus judgement. "HeartBreaker/Living Loving Maid" is a great song, probably one of my favs. Great guitar solo that varies in various versions. I have about 4 versions of the song, all are great, but this one particular live version is imo the way it's supposed to be. Led Zeppelin really sounds great live.

Really tough decision. I'd have to say, for me, the Who win by a (Pete Townsend's) nose.

You guys are just joking right?????? (I hope that is the case)

Zep completely blows away Who............even if Zep only released 1st album they would still rule Who............what has Who done than can even begin to compare to song like "dazed and confused", this a another league entirely

I voted earlier [LZ] and have been watching the results. Its right back at 50/50 again!

Didn't someone on another thread say that once a poll starts going one way, it never swings around? Oh, well, so much for his argument.

Hey, people, as you post, mention how the poll is doing.

Right now, it's 28 to 28 -- even tie. I've seen it swing both ways, though, up until this point.

DarkAngel is correct. Zep 1 >> entire Who output, leaving Zeps 2 to ITTOD to completely overbalance things.

Needless to say I voted Zep.

Compared to Zep, the Who is rather wussified--they didn't have much understanding of blues.
