Childrens' Microscope?

Thread Starter

Need your help.

My son turns four next month and I thought it might be fun to get him a microscope that he could use (for a few years).  As I am 100 percent clueless as to which brands/models might be of worth, I am seeking your assistance.

I would like to keep the cost at less than $150.00 and avoid getting merely a "toy" scope.  I'd rather spend a few dollars more and get something decent.

Obviously, the magnification does not have to be so extensive.  I just want him to be able to see a bug or leaf or cookie crumb in a way that he's never seen before.

Thanks

Celestron FTW. Even the lower end ones are pretty decent. I'm not sure where u are at, but if you have a Fry's Electronics nearby they might have a few demo units you can try out, I remember seeing some in my store.
