Found - Donor 990's and Bose OE TriPorts

THANKS FOR NUTHIN!

I found em on eBay.

I could still handle a pair of Denon D2000's though, if a tired or inop pair were to show up...

Or closed AKG's.  What have you got?

Looking for donor frames.  Drivers and cables unnecessary.

Thanks a lot!

The Bayer frames are for maintenance on the Strawberry Donuts, which are getting a little loose where the cups mount to the headband assembly.

My reasoning for the TriPorts and the D2000's is that both are extremely light and comfortable.  And I think I could get away with wearing the Boses in public.

Remember: the 'B' in 'WTB' means I Want To Buy these.  The word 'Donor' refers to the disposition of the headphones and does not mean I'm looking for a sugar daddy.

Hero - I'm primarily looking for closed cans to rebuild, but I'll keep yours in mind.  They look like a decent place to start excepting my need for close (due to work and living environments).

Thanks, though.

No one has any old, damaged, or inoperable Beyers, Denons D-2000's, or Triport OE's to sell?

Nothing?

I don't believe you.  I think you're making that up.

What if I expand the scope of my search.  What failed closed cans do you have on hand?

Still nothing, but I'm in Chicago on the eve of Ca nJam 2010 and I did find a pair of the Boses on eBay, so that helps.  Four bottles of Fat Tire, which is not available in Maine, also helps.

I still am looking for Bayer frames and a pair of D2000's and it would hurt to pay full price on each of those just to cut them up....
