Handling images in threads and user's image albums

Under the old system, we have to use a hosting service to post images in threads. This no longer seems to be the case, am I right?

I couldn't use an [img] tag to add an image to a thread. Instead, I clicked on the add image icon in the toolbar - which gave me 2 options: add from PC or from an URL. Even when I chose adding image from URL, it seems the images gets "downloaded" and becomes part of my album (which I found under my profile). If this is the case, I am curious what the storage capacity is for users.

Thanks.

You're right. Now you can upload and embed images right on Head-Fi, and you can create image albums from your user profile. We don't currently have any caps, so upload as many pictures as you want. There is a maximum size but it's something high enough that the vast majority of full size digital images should be fine without any resizing.

Great. Saves work from having to post to some hosting service and then copy links over.

More questions though ...

1. I suppose old images are still loaded from the hosting services and have not been synced over, right?

2. Is there any way to name albums and how does organizing albums work ... if I post an image in a thread, it seems to automatically go to the default album anyway.
