This is the "audiophile" version, model # SCPH-1001. It has been cleaned up and modded by a fellow who goes by "rhing" on various audio boards, who has done a number of these and sold on AugiogoN and AudioCircle as well, I think. Included is an aftermarket remote control that allows you to start, stop and advance CD. It does not control power. Stock power chord is also included, but no game controllers or PS cables. You must use the standard RCA out jacks for audio; I do not believe the A/V multi-out works after the mods.

Mods: Power supply caps: Wima MKP 1uF/250V; AC line filtering cap, Nichicon CS; primary and secondary stage filter caps, Panasonic FMs, Nichicon KT Audio or a combination of both; Output stage: 2x Black Gate N 4.7uF/50V caps, 2x PRP 22kohm precision metal film resistors, and 0.5mm Mundorf Silver-Gold hook-up wire.
The above is basically Greek to me, but I have been very happy with the sound. The stock unit was very neutral and detailed, but the mods (to my ears) give it a great sense of fullness and three-dimensionality without giving up that neutrality and accuracy.
