It's not everyday that physics equates to Indian guys driving cars on the walls of a bowl... Alongside motorcycles... While popping out of the window.

Thanks for the link, Subtle!

Is that thing made of wood?

And what slays me more than anything are the people standing at the top.

Nope, I'm afraid this is one of the less mystifying and easy to understand absurdities (not really absurdities, but really odd crap) in physics. Now black holes, worm holes, time trave... that's a twist and worse it happens more often than those guys on motorcycles going round and round.

No one said it was hard to understand the science behind it, but more of us stating that it was awesome that they are physically doing this. They're not exactly wearing the most safe of equipment and those ghetto cars probably aren't properly equipped for the worst case scenario... Not to mention the freakin' bowl is made out of wood.

Yup those are made very quick-and-dirty out of wood. And yup, those people on top are usually in just as much danger as the people actually performing the stunt. There are often stories about a guy who will lose control of his vehicle while in the bowl and instead of swinging downward, he'll swing up over the lip of the bowl and take out some spectators and pedestrians walking past the bowl as well.

You're quite welcome. Glad to see someone got as much of a kick out of it as I did.

Wow, I thought it would be some motorcycles in a little cage/ball but that was pretty insane.. Nice!

I saw something like this once in a weird Chinese variety show in Shanghai

I've seen one of those in person when I was a kid. The one I went to didnt have cars, all bikes, but those guys eventually starting cutting across and performed some near miss stunts which were quite scary. Those bikes they used were friggin loud as well add to that the reverb from the wood and hollow effect of a well. Its deafening.

It's hard to believe people pay to watch that.

Its free, they just perform.. anyways in India the entry fee or something will be very cheap.. max 200 INR for watching which is like $5..
