Interesting from the specs and appearance it looks like an open variant of the Pro 900?

i'd love to have a go. but what of the 2400's, they seem to have died a death or haven't they been released yet?

want!

It is black...
It is a headphone...
It is an Ultrasone Pro...
It is the Ultrasone Pro 2900!

just checked the Ultrasone website, no price tag yet. The Pro900 is the credo of sound, then what marketing words will be used to highlight this new headphone? Again, the product code of Ultrasone headphones is full of randomness.

Must be 2credo of sound.

Definitely seems to be an open version of the PRO 900. Personally not a big fan of Ultrasone though. Owned the ALO-780. Absolutely wonderful for electronic music and the alike, but I primarily listen to rock and metal, so I ended up selling them. I wonder how this will stack up to the PRO 900

Tempted to transplant pro 900 drivers into my hfi-2200, maybe makes an orange 2900 :D.

Great idea , if you do so post some impressions.

The problem is I have the older hfi-2200, with ugly plastic faceplate. If I had the newer aluminum faceplate one with darker orange I would've tried it already.

Too bad , hifi 2200 is the best looking ultrasone 'phone( if ed9 dosent count). Black on pro 900 is ok but blue and white combination is like it was made for sailors and it just hurts your eyes.

any review for the 2900?

having heard the pro 900 n i must say that the highs are already better than the 2500 ive currently own.. but didnt like the mid and bass as im used to the airy sound of the 2500.. would like to read some impressions before i plan to buy it..

You'd be voiding your warranties, but maybe transplant pro 900 drivers into pro 2500? It may work if people post pics of the 2900 and it turns out to be the same as the pro 2500.
