for sale is a pair of Infinity Reference 2000.3
reviews here, note this review is on the stock speakers.
Thread with some info
This particular pair have upgraded crossovers. The stock sound was rather uninvolving, and a bit congested to my ears ( I am probably too spoiled by the Stas phones), so I replaced the cross over's stock electrolytic caps with Avalon polyprop (20uf + 30uf + 4uf). To make it sound one step better, I use a pair of 1.5uf Sonic caps plus 2.5uf Avalon to make up that 4uf (this 4uf is for the tweeter so is more critical).
The sound is much more realistic after the mod, voice replay now have much life and emotion, base is powerful and tight. however, I think this is as far as the upgrade can go for these crossovers, there won't be enough available room inside the speaker for installing higher grade (larger physical size) caps.
Price is $150 shipped, con US only.
Price is firm. (the mod parts cost was already about $50, then add the shipping cost of about $40).
