Would anyone care about an Audio-gd equivalent of the Peachtree Nova (DAC/amp/HP amp)?

He has done everything from high-end stand-alone DAC's/amps to the little Sparrow. What about something like the Fun with a speaker amp in it that produces about 40 watts/channel- something along those lines similar to the Nova everyone seems to love. See my cheesy Photoshop mock-up below.
I don't think Kingwa is interested but what does Head-fi say?

I was thinking the same thing a while ago though i prefer active speakers with pre-amp.

Kingwa has already made something similar with the compass and panther (power amp) combination.

My question is - what advantages would such a design bring over separates, especially since Audio GD already has the ACSS connection? Kingwa doesn't exactly sell to the lifestyle market, so style is kind of out.

He said the Panther did not sell well and he dropped it. The only advantage would be size and simplicity. Look at all the people who buy the Bose Wave and how popular the Peachtree unit is.
It seems logical to me if he making the Sparrow. Why would someone buy that and not the Roc/Ref5 combo? The same people who would consider an all-in-one unit like the Peachtree that need a small footprint and price compared to a C2/C39/C10 for $2500.

That could be an interesting solution for a bedroom, indeed.
What I'd really like from Kingwa is a Upnp media renderer, so I could stream my music from a NAS or a media server. Same ACSS output of the CD7 and the REF.3, same case of the ROC :-) What do you think?

A DAC/Pre would certainly be an interesting idea.  Then all one would need is an appropriate power amp or power headphone amp.

I just saw he has a modular power amp system. Maybe a multi-output DAC/pre?   Certainly would be a novel take on the usual way hi-fi gear is arranged.

I was actually thinking an all-in-one unit with a decent speaker amp- think Sparrow inside his older S1 integrated amp. Maybe too boutique-ee though (my own word). For bedrooms, dens, offices, hell the garage (sorry Currawong, doubt you have one of these in Japan?). Marantz used to have an integrated with DAC that sounded decent from memory and they are getting more popular- NAD has one and Bryston has their integrated with optional DAC for several thousand bucks.

I think Kingwa should make one like I said in the other thread. He should also include the HDMI in / out (for video bypass) so the device can accept DSD signals from blueray player and I2S signals from those cheap porable media players with mini-HDMI out.

I always wish there is a resonably priced audiophile quality  AV amp.
