You should be able to get the RX700 for less than 70USD shipped to Canada on ebay (I got it for less than that - shipped from the US to Switzerland no less) and yes, they do have tons of bass. Even for a stated bass head as myself, it was occasionally a little too much. Good deal for the price, in any case.

I however do not really agree that the 170$ the D2000 cost more aren't worth it

Thanks for all these replies guys, it seems as though it is a matter of opinion at this stage of the game, so I think I am to go with whichever of the listed I can find for the least amount of money!
