well, I guess that the album cover has really got something to do with the sales but not entirely. I think an album cover is just a summary or complete imagery of what you will get inside. It is called packaging.

I found her to look fairly different on the Mendelssohn cover than she does in "normal shots"...in a good way.

The covers used to popularise classical soloists tend to be cheesy and exploitative - in a high-class kind of way. So I'm glad I tend to go for the cheaper historical recordings: some old guy in a suit, in black and white - very sexy!
