I'm in a fight or flight state right now. 24 years old, and I still have never had my first kiss, my first dance with that someone special, no friends, nothing. The first person I fell for threw me away like trash and I'm afraid I'll never know how it feels to be wanted. I need to find something real to hold on to, to fight for, or I'm gonna flat-line.

no friends at school? You seem like a cool guy, and clearly you have a great sense of humor. That means that if you let people get to know you, good things will happen!

They don't. Everyone has their close circle of friends, their lives, all that. I listen to their troubles, make them laugh, yet they've no problem disposing of me with malice. I'm tired of that. I leave college in a week, and I hope I keep my sanity long enough to find some semblance of happiness in this cold grey world.

I bet you have no idea how much people like you. I know I'm not the most confident guy, and I always err on the negative side when assessing people's feelings towards me. In other words, people like me a lot more than I assume. At least in real life that seems to be the case. i have no idea about this forum though

Sounds like you've got a fake group of friends. Trust me, if you just keep putting yourself out there and keep trying to meet new people, there are plenty of down to earth people. Man, if you were in Iowa City, i'd be happy to show you a good time, just can't help you out on the women problem cause of the wife jealousy problem.

Happy birthday, folks!

Kirosia, just enjoy another day to celebrate! Pick up a bottle of your favorite liquor and toast to the fact that you don't have a flesh eating disease.

The people at my college don't really care for me, save for a very few. Strangely, I caught up with some old classmates from HS, and they all seemed to remember and miss me. (Sadly most of them are far away/married with children) Maybe I'm just one of those guys who people don't realize is worth a damn until long after he's gone.

A girl I knew moved to Iowa, she said the people there are incredibly friendly, at least compared to Massachusetts. All my old acquaintances who left the state said they're happier for it. I dunno, maybe I just need to find a way out of this place.
