Specific UI question: which player will allow me to...

... get all of the now playing artist's tune from the Now Playing menu?

With my Sony A729, I can scroll down to the album, artist, genre or year and then get to a screen with all songs belonging to whatever I just selected.
It's GREAT. I usually keep all songs on random but if the mood strikes when a particular song comes on, I'd love to be able to select the whole album, or all songs by this artist etc. without having to re-browse from the main library screen.

I want a 32GB or 64GB player pretty badly but this is pretty much a requirement for me.

If the Sony X can do this, then I'm sold
If there's a way to get a D2+ with Rockbox to do this, then I'm pretty much sold too...

My Creative Zen does album, artist and genre.

On the X you have an up button that takes you to the album the song belongs to/ year etc depending on which criteria you chose for browsing.

Yeah... the X is the perfect player for me right now... except it's just not sold in Europe anymore :/ Some 16GBs out there but that's redundant for me.

I had a Zen once and it sounded ok and especially was bug ridden and battery life was horrible after just two months of use. I'm not going back to one again... Which is a real shame as it looks great, has a great shape/format and had so much potential.

Cowon S9 can do it with Claw's UI
It adds artist and album shortcut buttons in the music player and that UI allows you to customize a LOT OF other things...

Thanks! The S9 is a little too big and expensive for me unfortunately but it may seem to be the only option so far...

More expensive than the X series would be?

No, roughly the same price but it's a lot bigger which is an issue for me. I need a DAP, not a PMP really. The X is a good balance.

Oh I get it now!
Good luck searching for a X1060/50 then...

Thanks By the way I would love some M50s these days but just like the X they're not easily found in Europe :P Nice rig.

Thanks
Most parts of my rig are from the US btw
(exept from the ZVM and the CX95 but they are kinda old)
Most prices s*ck around here....$100 and €100 is not nearly the same!!!

If your looking to purchase the X Series Walkman, and the ATH-M50's, B&H Photo ships worldwide.

Happy shopping,.................
