Best IEMs on a Budget? (~150)

So, I've always been against IEMs simply because I've never heard ones I've actually enjoyed, and all the others I've tried were uncomfortable.

But, most of Head Fi seems to swear by IEMs for portability (which is understandable). I just recently upgraded to a nice portable headphone, but I'd like a good set of IEMs too. Suggestions?

There are tons of options available for you.

My highest recommendation would be for you get the Fischer Audio DBA-02. The quality and performance for the price is unbeatable.

What's your taste in sound and music? Basshead? Detail freak?

There has been an explosion in choices recently. Phonak PFE are great all rounders. Head-direct RE0s are well respected. Both these are well under your budget.

DBA-02, Sennheiser IE7, Sony EX700LP, SF5Pro and PK1.....

I'd say the RE0s if you want a treble oriented phone. It's mildly bass light though from what people say.

If you get lucky I'm sure you can get some Triple.Fi 10s for around that price as well. New from Amazon or ebay.

TF10 if someone is selling it cheaply.

I'd say Basshead, but doesn't that usually entail false bass? That's something I don't want. I like hearing things the way they were put there. Probably a detail freak witha focus on Bass because I like mostly kickin' Electronic stuff. DubStep, Dance, Hardcore, Trance, House, etc.

Triple.Fi 10s. That is what you need. Slightly V tuned response with fast, punchy bass, a big soundstage, and a slight, airy extension in the treble region.

Monster Turbine Pro Gold? I havent got mine yet but i heard turbines in general have good bass without overpowering mids and trebles.

HJE900. $109 from J&R. Buy. Be Happy.

They will do great for the genres you mentioned, and will sound pretty grreat with pretty much everything. I'm reluctant to call them V-Shaped, as to me it's quite a bit more "life-like" than most V-shaped phones I've heard, but they have a bit of a hump on the bass and more of s pike up on the treble with excellent extension. They also have a great somewhat intimate(yet can get suprisingly wide) soundstage, awesome imaging, separation and positioning.

Plus they are extremely durable, and easy to get a good, comfortable fit on(though you might need to buy different tips as the default ones aren't very big).

My disclaimer though is that I've heard none of the other IEMs mentioned here, or many IEMs at all, but check some reviews on them, they are very well liked for their price.

I think I'll find a cheap IEM (like, dirt cheap) with a few tips to see if I can get comfortable with them. Then I'll invest in a good set.

IE7s are ~100 on eBay. HJE 900 on Amazon for ~110. Those both sound like pretty good prices to me. Which would you guys pick out of those 2?

Beware of sennheisers on ebay. There are a lot of fakes around...

If your a basshead but don't like false artificial bass, try the Fischer Audio Enigma's. They are very affordable and the sound is great.

I would advice going for the HJE900, as there are many sennheiser fakes out there.
