Fischer Audio Eterna vs Silver Bullet - Page 3

Id like to know what tips really go well with the SBs.  Ive never used the Sony Hybrid tips and really want a set just like that found in the eterna.  What other brands are out there that are just as soft and on par with the eternas tips

Auveo tips work really well for me. I'm pretty sure that the short sennheisser biflange will also work and UE single flange silicones. I don't recommend hybrids on them because they close down the nozzle space of them, ridding of some treble/detail. Their fit is similar to coppers/golds except they go in deeper and hug your ears because of their shape.

edit: but in terms of softness the auveo is the softest while the UEs are a bit harsh on the ears. No experience with the sennheisser tips.

ty for the info, anyone also happen to know if the eterna tips do fit on the SBs??  I contacted FA direct and asked it they would sell me some replacement tips from the eterna, really because they are one of the most comfortable iem tips ive ever used and have a few sets that i would like to use them on heh

i was told to use the comply t-500 tips on them by one of the FA reps :\

I got a pair of Comply T-400 with my SB purchase from Treoo. Eterna must have smaller diameter if they need T-500. T-500 is also compatible with Meelec M6 and M6's stock tips wouldn't fit the SB.

I use decored olives on the SB because the stock tips don't isolate enough and the Complys don't sound good.

dang, treoo reps are the ones who told me to use the comply t-500 ( not the 400 ) on the silver bullets

well now im confused heh.  Im getting lots of mixed reviews on what tips are best for them :[

After digging through my inventory, it turns out that those are T-500 that came with the SB. My fault. If FA says that T-500 will fit the Eterna, then they must share the same nozzle size. Still, if you want to go foamies, decored olives are much better than Complys.

here is the transcript of what they wrote to me, i got a reply within 5 minutes.  Pretty awesome considering i asked around to a lot of users and FA sellers and didnt get much or any info at all in reply.  Im not sure if i should be trying to get the SBs anymore, its been a while since I heard them and I may be wrong in what i remember.  I loved the eternas with all my <3 but i wanted a wider bigger stage with some good coloring.  I had a few people recently tell me the SBs are boring after burn in.  Im not at all interested in rebuying the eternas, i just sold my rev2s off to a nice person here on head fi a few days ago.  So, i was hoping to get the SBs instead and use much better tips.

Dear Mike,

Thank you for writing in.

We suggest you take a look at the Comply T500 Earfoams which provide better sound isolation with better seal effect. It has a 'memory effect' which takes the shape of your ear canal for a better music experience

We have them in black and white and are compatible with the FA Eterna.

2nd reply
Dear Mike,

as of now, we do not have any FA accessories.

However, you could always purchase another eterna with us so as to use the double flanged silicone eartips with your silver bullet.

But of course, the better option is to get the Comply T500 Earfoams as mentioned earlier, which are compatible with both the eterna and the Silver bullet, which definitely works better than the double flanged silicone tips.

Hope we have provided you with enough info, do feel free to revert if you have more queries

I didn't care much for complys with the SBs, too muddy...

just by the looks of them i can tell thats true, they will warp and muffle the bass without a dout, that tip style will alway do that.

still in search of a great double flange that will actually fit it and not warp the sound :[

Id really like a nice triple flange like the eterna, something like the shure 306  triples :\

mehhhh

^ this is why im kind of going crazy trying to get my hands on a pair rofl.  I got to listen to them right after their first release and as i said man, ive died a little inside each day since then.

let me know what tips you try on them please!

small stock tips

hey ive waited for a little over a month now for this

i even forgot i bought this until it arrived today

Unfortunately the housing scratches way too easily, I brushed mine to avoid this. Not surprised you think think it's better than the eternas. How do you compare them to the mds? I found the two to be somewhat similar.

I find the sb's to be a more boomy version of md

while the latter is way more controlled and refined

I meant if you decide to try other brands of tips like the olives, complys, Shure es206s ect ect, if you do please post here or send me a pm with your thoughts ;)
