Best IEM's for $80 Budget?

I would vote for Superlux HD381F if you can find it in your local shop or online.

I prefer Superlux HD381F which cost only around USD 30.- over Shure SE530, UE TF10, Westone 3, Westone UM3x, AT-CK100. Yes, it is very good, balance across the spectrum. I've all the 3 series, the 381F is the most balance for my ears, solid bass, neutral mids, transparent high.

But it is semi-open IEM, isolation is not good, in between earbuds and IEM.

Just put in my order for RE0's. Can't wait to test em out against these Marshmallows :p (Is it possible to be blown away? I think Marshmallows sound pretty good just not very clear sound.)

Thanks for all the help. Greatly appreciated :-D

I recently acquired Denon C751 for $79.. Very impressed. Sounds great for how much I spent. Highly recommend for under $80.

The RE0's are not lacking in bass it's just that the bass is controlled more than anything. It's not skull thumping heavy because the IEM's focus on other things like detail and clarity which is among the best I have heard for the price. I found that a modest amp improves the bass as well, it will not transform them into something totally new in regards to bass but it helped bring it out more if thats what your after.

Yeah, the Marshmallows are horrible, lol!  I had them one time and thought they sounded like a subwoofer attached to an AM radio.

My RE0 really started to kick in with the bass about 70 hours.  Also, I'm using Shure olives (foam) decored for even more bass action.

The mids and highs will blow you away though!

I would recommend the ViSang R03. For me they beat the S4 (cleaner bass, better balance, less tiring treble) and come very close to the turbines, all for $60.

I would not recommend the RE0 and especially not the Nuforce NE-8 coming from the marshmallows. Unless you already know that you like an analytical sound, either one will sound anemic.

I finally pulled the trigger on Visand R03's. When I get them I'll give my impressions versus my NE - 6.

My first impressions on the RE0s: clarity is amazing! The Bass is just right for me with the large biflanges.
Definitely a huge huge upgrade over the Marshmallows (what do I do with old IEMs anyways o.o).
Thanks for the suggestions :-D

I was looking at either the Klipsch S4 or the Monster Turbine (I can get it for $80). I'm also considering the RE0 but they look too much like Vmodas.

I thought they looked liked crap from the pictures, very generic looking.  Soon as after I received them and listen to them, I learned my lesson about looks.  Re0 sounded much much better than TF10, and I returned the TripleFi.  I was also skeptical of it being made from China, but thats another lesson I learned, don't generalize.   Also, they are built solid, I've yanked them so many times, no damage at all.

For under $100, the two best balanced IEMs that I've heard (and owned), I would strongly recommend the Nuforce NE-8 or Hifiman RE0.
