Shure 840 Frankstein Headband Mod - Mission Complete!

You know that feeling when you get exactly what you want and absolutely nothing was wrong with it...and that it is beyond your expectations? Well, it's finally happened to me. My 840s mod is just...so...so..........so beautiful T_T
Could very well be the most comfy set of closed backs ever to exist.


-25% lighter, maybe even a little more since the headband was giga heavy
-made safer by removing a specific piece holding the wire that could easily slice it right in half in the stock version
-looks less goofy than the original on someones head and fits much nicer
-overall comfort is staggering. Just...amazing.


Piece of fluffy fuzz at the top is actually a piece of velcro, it was cut after the picture was taken to look nice and not stick out

its part of the original wrapping, which was cut off and resized to fit the new skinnier headband

i love that style headband cushioning. looks so awesome. reminds me of my 666 pack abs. lol.

^ I said the same thing, now they are pretty good looking IMO. Looks less goofy on your head as I've said.

I just got mine and had them on for just a few minutes.
Yes... that is one heavy band!

Sound pretty good though (on first listen) with my iPod.

I'll put them through their paces tonight.

Well im really impressed by the mod, you made improvements and kept the design. Specially the Shure original engraved on the headband.
