Before I go the Audiogon and/or eBay route I wanted to post here first.
Offered for sale is an absolutely as-new condition Maxxed Woo Audio WA6SE Amp in BLACK.
I am the original owner and received this amp from Jack in Jan 2009. I had ALL upgrades done which were offered at that time and these were installed when the amp was built originally.
Parts upgrades:
Premium parts upgrade package. $450
Blackgate voltage filter caps, 150uf/350V
Blackgate cathode caps, 220uf/100V
Blackgate bypass caps, 220uf/16V
Blackgate bypass caps, 22uf/350V
MILLS voltage filter resistor, 3.3K/12W
KIWAME load resistor, 56K
Attenuator upgrade:
DACT CT2 stepped attenuator. $215
24-position, high accuracy and reliability
Rectifier tube replacement:
Sophia Princess Mesh Plate 274B rectifier $150 (1 pc)
The amp will be supplied in it original double-boxed packaging with one pair of GE 6EW7 (being used in the amp currently) and two pairs of matched GE 6DE7 purchased directly from Woo Audio.
Total original cost with upgrades/tubes was $1900.
I am looking to clear $1,500 plus shipping for this piece and can only ship to the USA.
Pictures can be e-mailed to interested buyer but suffice to say it will be just like ordering a new amp from Jack without a four to six week wait plus a nice discount.
I had a WA6 prior to this and have now decided to order a WA5-LE from Jack so my WA6SE Max needs to find a new home. I doubt the Blackgates are even fully broken-in as I estimate only about 200-300 hours on the amp.
