Looking for a new set of iems

Hi headfi,
I'm looking for a pair of new iems to replace my old ones and i always got great advice from headfi.
I used to own:
shure se420
bose inear headphones

I'm looking for a decent pair of headphones around $100. I want a pair of iems that have good bass with a pretty good
range and I listen mostly to hip/hop and rnb. I liked my previous pair of shure se420s but the extention cable started
malfunctioning after a year. I read online that the extention cable usually stops working after a few years and the music
was only coming through the left earbud but worked fine when i didnt have the extension cable plugged in.

I already looked at the:
ue superfi3
ue superfi4
klipsch s4i
etymotic 6i
V-Moda Remix
Denon C710

thanks

EDIT: I'm actually willing to spend around $200 so im guessing that opens up a lot of possibilities. Not really looking for customs i would rather have universals.

Klipsch image S4 will suit better for these genres but you can add few more IEMs in your list like V-Moda Remix, EX500, Turbine, C710 and ATH-CKS70.

@twrmnd, id say for those genre and the sound your after, id spend an extra $40 and go for klipsch custom 3 @ around $139, best bang for buck at that price .

I would add the Panasonic HJE900 to that list. IMO for what you want they are vastly superior to the SF3, Klipsch S4, and Er6i, which are the only ones I've heard from that list.

200$ - Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10

I would strike the er6 and sf3 off the list for hip-hop, the Klipsch's are ok for $100, havent heard the others, though if you're now going to $200 that opens a lot more possibilities.

from the 420 and bose things, what did you like what did you not and what direction do you want

I am not sure whether they still have it, but you can try quoting $250 for the Monster Miles Davis on onecall.com. It's a very good IEM.
Check out this thread:

Since your're already willing to spend $200, you should chip in another 50 or so, it will open up more choices too, and you can really get one of those top-tier IEM

the 420 i liked the midrange but found the bass to be lacking. The extension cable also started malfunctioning like the sound came out of only the left earbud and the reason i knew was because i plugged in the shures by themselves into the ipod and they worked fine. I'm actually not sure if they're real because when I asked around people said they were real even though i bought them off ebay from a power seller for $200ish. Now i see a post saying that the IE8's are fake so im not so sure anymore.

The boss were pretty good the things i didnt like were that i didnt like the design all that much but the bass was pretty good.

It seems like the best phones for the bass are monster turbine pro coppers. Any other headphones that would be under consideration?
