I have a Cowon D2 right now, just wondering if there is another player out there with better SQ and looks. I saw the S:Flowhatever and I don't know if I'll like the UI, but I do like the design.

The s:flo2 is an amazing player with great sound quality. I highly suggest it (as I use mine with my 3Xs). You should go read the T51/s:flo2 appreciation threads. It really is a great player.

Any opinions about the clip+ versus iaudio 9, with UM3X?

Well I can't comment on the iAudio9 but I do have the clip+ right here in front of me. It's very detailed and pretty much flat across the board.
However, I guess two things that I wished were better were a little more power in the player and a little wide sound stage. Going directly from the s:flo2 to the Clip+, the s:flo2 delivered a smoother sound, better instrument separation, and a wider soundstage.
However for classical music, I kept going back to the Clip+. Paired with the UM3Xs they produce a sharper sound and a little more micro-detail.
