Anyone, anyone? If not, then maybe you'll help out a newbie by reading further...
I don't consider myself to be an audiophile, but I've always wanted good sound quality when it comes to portable audio and didn't think it was possible. I never quite understood why people spent hundreds of dollars on headphones/earphones when the mainstream portable players they connected to always seemed to put out substandard audio quality.
Then I find this website! It seems you all are using the digital output on your portable player to an external amplifier where you then plug in your expensive headphones/earphones!! Why didn't I think of this before, lol.
Barring an FAQ from existing, maybe you can help my answer my questions because I really want a portable setup now:
1. Does it matter what MP3 player you use as long as it has digital output?
2. Are IEMs prone to popping out of your ears if you run or workout in them?
3. I'm willing to spend ~$1,000 on IEMs, so what price range should I be looking at when it comes to the external amplifier without sacrificing sound quality?
And thanks guys, I'm really stoked that having excellent sound quality is possible when it comes to portable audio; just wish I had researched this before!!
