Sony S740 or A840 Stateside release?

Will either of these series get released in the United States anytime soon?

I liked my s545 until it crapped out on me and I'm considering getting a new player rather than spend 30 bucks to get a refurbished one that might crap out on me also. Plus, I'd LOVE the extra space. 64 would be great, but I don't know if i want to spend so much more for the A series. The 32 gb S would suffice.

Or are there any online stores that sell them? Maybe ship to the US?
I looked on ebay but there aren't any, and I like having lots of space.

If you can read Japanese and don't mind 16GB, I'm selling mine. A845 - yours for 190$ shipped.

mike how far are you from the canadian border? since sony canada has the 16GB 745 on sale there, but you would have to buy it at the physical store. there are no 32gb S models in canada, only japan I believe.

I bought my 32gb A846 online from AccessoryJack.They carry the S series as well. From Hong Kong to USA @ my door in 8 days from shipping confirmation. I'd definitely buy from there again with no hesitation. Mine's the version that supports English. I like the player so far, not necessarily better than my Ipods, but it's a quality player and comes with some decent sounding IEM's, as well the fact that it allows a fair amount of sound tailoring. The built in content transfer software works great for transferring iTunes playlists easily too.
The A series could easily become a hit in the US if Sony would bring it here.

Yeah, some of the prices are high, some aren't so bad. And with some items it isn't as bad when you consider the $9.99 US shipping charge. I know i looked at the amount of postage on my package to get it from there to me, and it far exceeded $9.99, so some of the pricing is padding to cover shipping i would bet.
That is a lot for the X though...lol.
