I've used the Triple Fi, IE8 and e-Q7's in the gym for weights and cardio.
Firstly I would say that sweat is no IEM's friend. It caused the internal wires inside the triples earpieces to corrode. The same started to happen with the IE8's where the cable connects to the earpieces - resulting sometimes in intermittent sound.
I still haven't learnt my lesson as I'm now using the e-Q7. With the right tip I acheive very good isolation with these. I removed the plastic cores from a couple of Comply tips, removed the same from a pair of Shure olives and forced the Comply cores in. With these tips isolation and SQ are good to me.
Out of all of my IEMs, the IE8s where best for the gym. e-Q7s come next - they would be a lot better if they had a neck pull. Triple Fi kept coming out when i ran with them.
SQ wise, i love the e-Q7s.
