How accurate is the iphone/ipod touch decibel meter?

Hello head-fiers!!!

Does anyone know how accurate an Ipod touch/ iphone db meter is? I would really like to know because I like to use my ipod touch spl app to measure how loud I listen to music but Im not really sure if I can really trust the numbers. And it would be great if anyone could compare them together and tell me how off the iphone db meter is by. Any comments/opinions is fine as long as it is in the topic. Thanks!

Not super accurate, but reasonably decent from my experience.
