Here's my problem. I was given a Sansa MP3 player and I want to use it with my new Radio Shack RACE Headphones because they muffle the noise so well when I am mowing the grass. Unfortunately, the SANSA headset output is stereo and my Headphones are mono. I have tried a new silver finish 3.5mm stereo to mono adapter; however, the fit is not tight in the Sansa player, which uses a 3.5 jack. The Headphones have a 1/8 inch gold plug. No matter how hard I push in the plugs I still get a motor boating sound or a scratchy sound when I move the plugs. The gold ear plugs that came with the Sansa work fine under all conditions. Does anyone have any ideas about how to resolve my problem about getting a better connection?

Thought about wiring a stereo plug into a monaural and putting it in parallel with my existing mono plug (I don't want to lose my mono plug for a scanner.). Any other ideas from anyone?
