For Sale 17" MacBook Pro Excellent Condition w/Upgrades
This is a Core Duo 2.16 gHz 17" MacBook Pro that I purchased new. It Has been upgraded to 2 GB RAM and a 320GB Hard drive as well as a Fresh and Clean install of Snow Leopard 10.6.3 with all updates. The Laptop is in very good condition.
There are some small buffs on the underside where it has set on a cooler. It has only been out of my house maybe 10 times. It has set on a desk it's entire life. The screen is flawless. In the pix I show the cleaning fluid and microfiber cloth that is for Plasma displays. The screen has only been cleaned with that fluid and cloth twice in it's lifetime. It looks brand new.
I also had some flakiness in the optical drive burning unreliably and a new drive will be here in a few days and I'll drop it in. The Laptop functions perfectly and cosmetically is Excellent.

I got a new Laptop at work and am not using an Apple OS any longer. This one will run Vista and Win 7 perfectly with VERY good performance. I have used it in a dual boot with Win 7 32 bit since Sept '09 and used Vista before that.
The only issue with the Laptop is that the Lid Latch "reliably" only grabs one side of the Latch. The lid latch consists of 2 hooks that drop down and engage when the lid is closed. One of he hooks catches but slips. This is a common problem I came to find out. I think the hook is a little dull on one side and I'm going to try and sharpen it and see it if fixes it. Other than that it's not a huge issue and could be replaced. But the screen would have to be pulled off and the back cover removed to replace the hook assembly. I checked into it, just didn't want to mess with the screen. If you can disassemble the bezel around the screen, it's an easy fix. No knowing how long it would last though, there has been an issue with these latches.
The Battery was replace under warranty about 12 months ago. The batteries starting swelling and Apple issued a recall, so the batt is in good shape as well.

If you're in the market for one of these, this is a good one. It is not cosmetically flawless, there are small marks to the corners, not much though. A few marks on the bottom, but you have to look for these. The screen is Perfect, not a scratch or a cleaning swirl.
