Why clear them out, make it a sealed can and up the bass! Then again, I have an airbrush and stencils (Frisket) should do the trick... still not sure I want to do it in the first place though. ...but, that almost sounds like a challenge!

Unfortunately, No.  I don't have another pair of AD700 available; and since I don't plan on keeping them... it's not worth me buying them to perform the mods and then sell them.

I personally use Markertek for most of my purchases (wiring, shrink-tube, etc..)

i wonder if covering them in ACU fabric would change the sound signature much? you could always perforate it by hand i suppose :)
