I need help fixing Klipsch ProMedia 4.1

Thread Starter
I have had my Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 for 6 years (bought them used on Ebay), and during the last move, they broke!

When I plug the Sub into power, and connect the Control Pod into the Sub, and turn the device on, the Sub starts emitting explosive pops, at intermittent intervals. If I connect the speakers to a computer, the music still plays (from the sub and from the speakers), but the explosive pops from the sub make listning to the actual music impossible.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Old thread bump.  Has anyone found a comparable replacement system that sounds as good or better than the Klipsch 4.1 THX Promedias?

Mine just died last week. Thanks Edison for pulling my power and killing my speakers and darn near my computer!

I've had mine since '02/03 and I'm having a rough time finding computer speakers that even come close to the Promedias.

This really stinks since Klipsch does not sell ANY parts for these systems. I know there is a company in Holland, MI that was rumored to fix them not sure on the cost.
